Here’s The Thing

It’s December. The 90 day posting project is coming to an end. No writer’s block, but there is a topics block. What to post keeping with the season, and timed for winter here in the States.

Some of my potential posts that would be easy to write about are better suited for a different time of the year, and holiday. The cold temperature and recent winter storms so early in the season have me aware of things like power outages from broken trees limbs pulling down power lines, and water lines freezing. Planning to leave early so there is enough travel time allowance for deteriorating road conditions.

These last three weeks of posts coincides with Christmas and New Year. There are topics I want to post a little closer to those holidays. This is that time of year when you spend time cleaning up for the last family and friends gatherings and are preparing for the next.

For me there is one more post to write until I have a photo op break on Sunday. In between writing today has been checking on supplies for the winter. Some prepared soup incase anyone gets sick. Did we restock the clear drinks and gelatin for upset tummies? Are there enough hankies and tissues on hand for a cold? What about the vapor rubs? Were the humidifiers put away clean after last year, and which closet did I put them in?

Supplies missing are on the shopping list and the humidifiers were put away clean and given a light dusting. So we are more ready than I expected given the late start at getting ready for another winter that came early. Last year was cold early as well.
