Seasonal Changes

Raising little ones, seasonal changes is one of the opportunities to clean out clothing. Donate, resell or repurpose those out grown clothes, or hold on to for an upcoming younger sibling. It is part of the norm. Grandparents too have to go through the extras kept on hand for when the grandchildren visit.

Parents don’t always do this for themselves regularly, even when the seasons change. It’s something you have to remind yourself to do. Besides preparing for that back and forth switch we go through from the heat of summer that keeps popping up, more gently than it was in August and September. Still it’s there, those intermittent cooler days.

The days start ending chilly more often as we roll into the heart of Fall. My writing chair has a blanket near by and a shawl. Dragging out the heavy sweat pants and fuzzy socks, stocking up on hot chocolate mix and popcorn. And yes, weeding through the summer wardrobe for items in need of repair, replacement, or rejection.

It’s fall, y’all.
